What are some good business ideas for the philippines?
Jeff J asked:
I want to start a business in the philippines. What would be a good idea worth considering? If you could start a business there what kind would it be?

One of the driving force of the economy of the Philippines is IT OUTSOURCING SERVICES this includes call centers, CADD drawings, data entry, BPO, etc. The country is the second largest outsource hub next to INDIA. If you can find services that can be outsource in the Philippines, you’ll be earning big bucks.
Another idea is overseas employment services, Philippines is one of the largest exporter of manpower services. Just make extensive research on this, since the industry is regulated by the government.
If you are on a “medium” investment, you might want to consider owning a restaurant/bar franchise. Its very popular among yuppies (young professionals).

any business is always good in the philippines, as long as you have the passion for it. as they say, if you cannot stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
the thing with most filipinos now, is that they have the money to put a business, the dream that goes with it, but lacks the passion for anything. they just want to put it up and leave it to nature to blossom, i think. if this is your idea of a business, then your money is better off in an investment like a money market of some sort.

fast food franchises is the best way to go like Jollibee, KFC, etc…Filipinos love to eat… I would suggest doing a feasibility studies first and have a minimum of at least $100,000 before starting anything to cover you for a few months.. This is applicable in any business also.. Make sure that you have this real money that you can cash in the next day and not like a house value or stock values…
The best thing is to be in the Philippines first before deciding what you like to get into.. Make sure that you have enough education besides the capital to start a business or it will just fail..
Good luck
