Mrs. J asked: I going to start a home business pretty soon, but the thing is I don’t know anyone personally to find out how to go about starting one. So I wanted to know what are the things I need to know and things I need to do before I jump in, preferably from people who have home businesses or who are planning to start one as well.
By the way I live in Toronto, Canada. If I could get some info and advice from you all, I would appreciate it!
I’m interested in starting an online business from home, and having a website with all of these products on it so people can order them. I’m interested in selling hair products like: perms, weaves, shampoos, oils , baby/kids hair products etc. I’ve compared prices, textures and quality of these products from other stores around my area and online that sell the same kind of products jus to get an idea of what sells and what doesn’t and basically just what people prefer. So I know what I want to sell but, I just don’t know how to get it started. I know I need a business plan, and business name etc. I know you have to get it registered but how do I do all these things.
Anything that I haven’t mentioned that someone who like to share with me, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for sharing your info with me!

Saumia P asked: Please tell me if the following questions are true or false:
In most instances a subject line is an essential part of a business letter.
On an envelope the mailing address should always be single-spaced.
The main purpose of a business report is to provide information about a particular subject.
If a letter requires two pages, you should use letterhead stationary for both pages.
Interoffice memos are commonly used for communications circulated outside a company.
In the mailing address on an envelope, the name of the state must be represented by a two-letter abbreviation written in all-capital letters.
If you write and key the letter for yourself, you should use your initials as the reference initials.
If a letter is addressed to a company, you would use Ladies and Gentlemen as the salutation.
A comma should never appear between the state name or abbreviation and the ZIP Code number in an address
Thanks in advance.

Fahad S asked: We have a small retail business that my father runs. The business is currently under my name but now I’m buying a house and because of the mortgage, I would now like to transfer it to my father’s name.
So question is how can I legally transfer the business to his name? I don’t want to go through a broker and take it through escrow, etc. Please help…
About the business: its a clothing store, location is in a mall, rented. All store information is under my name.
Thanks in advance.

Lauren B asked:
I am a business owner in the united states. A dear friend of mine, whom I feel would be a great asset (in the arts) to my business is a Mexican citizen. I know that businesses can often “sponsor” temporary or permanent immigration. After researching online I see that it is a very complicated process. How much does this usually cost and how do I go about starting? Or is it even possible? Thanks in advance!

☼ lovethesun11 asked: During my wedding planning, I have had a hard time finding exactly what I have been looking for, whether the items were too highly priced or just not the style or look that I had envisioned.
Very frustrating…
SO, I decided to make some of the items for our wedding and it is all turning out great!
I am thinking about starting my own business making wedding items for a low price. This business would offer hand-made, creative, personalized items for your wedding, such as guest books, pen holders, ring pillows, flower girl baskets, and other items that are personalized expecially for your wedding with your wedding colors and style in mind.
You would be able to see samples of all of the different items and choose from a wide variety of colors, styles, and looks.
I am just curious to see if there would be enough interest in this type of business before I get started. I will be posting on several websites.
Thanks in advance for your opinion!
Happy Wedding Planning!
