Right now I’m receiving unemployment benefits but I’m looking to start a business next month. Can I have a business licenses even though I’m not planning to do business for the next 3 – 6 months. Would that affect my unemployment?

I read a lot and have a good amount of knoweldge on many subjects. I have a good computer skill. I wish to start a business that doesn’t need a lot of money for starters. Also, I would prefer if I didn’t have to hire someone for a start. My friend might join me in the business. She has a degree in Genetics. I have good relations with a few well-to-do ladies from all over the world through a social club. Also, my cousin has a lot of relations and he said he’d help me if I needed him. My other cousin, who has been a restaurant manager for 10 years, said she’d help me with her management expertise to set up my business. I would appreciate if you could give me any ideas. I would offer many different options for business owners to choose. printing and distributing flyers or corner signs, running ads in the newspaper and online websites or radio. Pretty much anything to do with advertising/ promoting for local businesses owned by individuals (like lawn care, roofing, restraunt, hair salon etc.) What should I do to start my business and is this a stupid idea?
