My college also offers seven other business minors, accounting, business administration, economics, international business, management, management information systems, marketing, and personal financial planning. Which of these would be beneficial along with my HRM minor?

I am working in a banking industry. I am willing to move for setting up of business after deep analysis on my strengths. Greatest strength, which I feel is good marketer, but my organization failed to identify this, even I didn’t get a chance to prove that. But I am a novice to any type of industry. I have been working on/dreaming/planning a business idea for over a year now. Reality has set in and I know because of my credit that I’ll never be able to get the money to start it. I don’t have the time nor the patience to wait until I can clean up my credit. I need money to give my kids a better life now – like yesterday. I hate to see my work and creativity go to waste. So do people ever buy business ideas and/or all the work that has been put in to it? If so, where would I find a means of advertising it for free? Thank you.

A friend of mine needs a job. He has been a business owner all his life, but due to the economy being so bad, he sold his business. Now he wants to work for someone, but doesn’t know how to write a resume as a business owner. Is it the same as writing a resume if you worked for a companies?
Would it be negative for the employer to know that you owned a business (for many years)? Would they think he is over-qualified?

I have a small computer repair/webdesign business in Oklahoma. I also manage at a pizza place, go to school and am a volunteer firefighter. I dont know how much of my business funds to pay myself in order to keep everything paid for, and still help the business grow.
